Naturopathic doctors in BC are regulated medical professionals. We are regulated by the College of Complementary Medicine of BC. The legislation regulating all health practitioners in BC, was passed a number of years ago, and it will be formally enacted on April 1, 2026.
We are uncertain how the legislative changes will fully affect all licensed medical professionals in BC. This new legislation could have a smooth transition, or it could present new problems. We just do not know.
We have been told, and I expect that there will be no changes to my scope of practice. Meaning that I will continue to be allowed to provide the same range of medical treatments that I have for the last 31 years. However, just in case there will be changes, I am making a limited-time offer.
I have offered Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments since I was certified to do so in 2011. I have used PRP injections for supporting joint regeneration, as well as topical PRP eye drops to support eye ailments.
